Opis

Halfway through the 19th century, the first permanent settlements appeared in Montana. After this, many fortune seekers traveled to this region with their caravans in search of work in order to build a better future for themselves — and there is an abundance of work as in the mountains precious metals are to be found and on the fields a lot of manpower is required. Meanwhile, the number of settlements is growing and the demand for goods is rising. Recruit the right workers, deliver goods on time, and choose your settlements tactically. Only then you will have the biggest chance of winning Montana.

In more detail, on each turn players choose one of these three actions:

Recruit: Use the spinner to get new workers.
Work: Send your workers to one of the different locations to get resources or money.
Build: Spend your resources to build new settlements.

The first player to build all of their settlements wins!

New settlements can be built, which can be used to gain extra benefits or to hinder others. Also, new landscapes with their own special rules bring more variety to the game. Finally, events will change the flow of the game. Some events give players a bonus while others make actions harder.

Longhorns graze on the meadows, but if a settlement is built, they must move to somewhere else. Sometimes that goes without any problems, but if you push too hard it can cause problems for everyone. Fortunately caravans visits the settlements with new supplies. Trade with them, so you can easily get other goods. Finally ranches are built in the settlements.

A mini-expansion for Montana released at Essen 2018. Replace one of each player's settlement with a trade post during the setup. During the game each player can build his settlement by paying its cost with money instead of goods.

Montana to bardzo dopracowane i szybkie euro z mechaniką worker placement, którą tak wiele osób ubóstwia. Gra jest elegancka, zasady nieskomplikowane i przejrzyste - każdy z graczy ma zasadniczo możliwość wykonania jednej z trzech akcji w swojej turze - a całą partię z powodzeniem można skończyć w 45 minut (przy trójce osób). Rüdiger Dorn ponownie udowodnił, że potrafi projektować dobre gry. Wydanie gry jest na wysokim euro-standardzie, a kolorowe drewniane zasoby oraz barwne plansze gracza i plansza główna cieszą oczy. Jeśli szukasz lekkiego-średnio ciężkiego euro, które może nawet posłużyć jako wprowadzenie do świata gier planszowych, Montanta sprawdzi się idealnie. Polecam!
