In Texas & Pacific, 2-6 players represent wealthy investors and ranchers in the 19th-century U.S. Midwest and Texas. Players buy stock certificates from the major railroads of the era. They compete to earn the most money during the game by carefully timing dividend payments and expanding the railroads across the plains to increase the value of their holdings. At the end of the game, the player with the most money wins.

In the late 19th century, the Russian government commissioned a project to build a railroad that would connect Moscow in the west with Vladivostok in the east. You and your fellow players are buying shares of the railroads that will expand across Russia, attempting to enrich yourself along the way and not lose control of railroads to the Tsar!

Wabash Cannonball, which has also been released as Chicago Express, was the first title in Winsome Games' Historic Railroads System. In the game, the B&O, C&O, Pennsylvania and New York Central railroads drive from the East Coast across the growing eastern U.S. to Chicago. Smaller, more aggressive railroads like the Wabash spring up to further expand America's extensive railroads.
